During the 19th century Europe and England witnessed a massive growth in the Millinery industry.

The 19th century saw massive changes in fashion styles and as each season passed all sorts of styles,shapes and colors became popular with milliners.

Behind the scenes there is a hidden story of hardworking woman who fueled the industry crafting exquisite hats for the ladies and dapper hats for the gentleman.

The Chip and Felt hat box show's an early form of marketing being decorated with a catalogue of their head ware from the era.

The Farquhar and La Touche hat box proudly boasts their brand as being millers to the gentry.

Established in 1823 by Annabel Farquhar and Jean La Touche..

Both hat boxes are in excellent original condition showing only slight signs of wear.
