Italian Painted Secretaire Bookcase

Italian polychrome hand painted fall front secretaire bookcase, the domed top section fitted with a mirrored single door.

The base is fitted with a fall front writing slop which is also fitted out with small interior drawers and storage area.

There are three drawers underneath the writing slop.

The two side's and top sections are decorated with hand painted floral scenes.

The front section of the bookcase is painted with typical 18th century romantic country scenes.

The interior of the top bookcase section has been cleaned and the back of the mirrored door repainted.

The exterior painted decoration is original and has some minor restoration to the gilded edges and painted decoration.

Small brass knobs replaced on writing slop supports.
