Antique c1900 French Kingwood marquetry pier cabinet

A 19th century French kingwood marquetry pier cabinet.

The serpentine front and sides are decorated with floral marquetry panels made up from exotic woods and set into ebonies panels.

At the top of the cabinet just under the marble is a marquetry decoration which matches the panels on the front and side’s.

The caryatid ormolu mounts set at the top of the door along with the escutcheon and mounts on the base are of the period.

Original Carrara Mable serpentine shaped top.

The marquetry and kingwood are in original condition with no repairs or restoration.

The ormolu mounts have been removed and cleaned, the gilding is original.

Napoleon the 3rd period circa 1870.
