Antique c1900 French Kingwood break front secretaire Louis xv style cabinet
19th Century French Kingwood break front secretaire Louis xv style cabinet.
The center section of the cabinet is fitted with a single drawer at the top and 3 drawers set into the base, in between the drawers is a fall front writing slope fitted with a leather insert and internal drawers.
Behind the left hand door is a full length cabinet fitted with adjustable shelves, while the right side of the cabinet is divided into two seperate cabinets.
The secrétaire and drawer fronts are decorated with a quarter kingwood veneer pattern which is duplicated on the sides of the cabinet.
The top section of the side door fronts are decorated with a kingwood sun burst pattern while the bottoms of the doors are simulated tambour slides.
The ormolu mounts, escutcheon and drawer handles are cast in an empire style.
Original French marble top.
The cabinet has been cleaned and waxed with no restoration or repairs.
The ormolu mounts were removed and washed.
